January 31 at the Russian Cultural Center (Representation of Rossotrudnichestvo in Great Britain and Northern Ireland), in London, opened the exhibition "Stalingrad in British History", prepared by historians of the Volgograd non-profit organization Foundation "Battle of Stalingrad."

The exhibition was opened by Ilya Mikhailovich Erofeev, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the United Kingdom.
Then the vice-chairman of the city council of the twin city Coventry Abdul Salam Khan spoke. He emphasized the importance of holding such events to improve relations between Russia and the United Kingdom.
Head of the Battle of Stalingrad Foundation A.V. Bunin in his speech noted that the exhibition is a gratitude of the Russian civil society to the people of Britain for their help during the difficult war years.
The President of the Fund, D. Belov, told the guests of the event in detail about the history of the project and conducted a tour of the exhibition.
During the event, the head of the Battle of Stalingrad Foundation A. V. Bunin met with the First Secretary of the Embassy of Russia in Great Britain I. Erofeev, British politicians, representatives of the British public and Russian compatriots living in the UK. A.V. Bunin thanked the staff of the Embassy and Rossotrudnichestvo for their help in organizing the activities of the project and expressed hope for continued successful cooperation.
Abdul Salam Khan expressed a desire to assist in organizing the exhibition in various cities in the UK and, above all, in the twin city of Coventry.
In an interview with the leaders of the public organization CAIF (Coventry Association for international Friendship) and the Volgograd Office in Coventry (Olga Lawson), issues were discussed to further expand cooperation between non-profit organizations of twin cities.
