"Stalingrad in the destiny of France." The exhibition was prepared by the Volgograd non-commercial organisation international charity Fund "battle of Stalingrad" with the support of the presidential grants. On behalf of the Foundation "battle of Stalingrad" exhibition in Paris are the Executive Director of the Foundation, the author of the project "Stalingrad in the destiny of France," Bunin A. V., member of the Board of the Foundation, honorary citizen of Volgograd Old Y. F., President of the Foundation D. A. Belov, Deputy Director of the Fund Zhilin S. S.In the opening ceremony of the exhibition took part the Ambassador of Russia in France Bags A. Yu., head of the cultural centre Kadyshev, L. Yu, head of the Volgograd Kosolapov A.V., mayors of French cities, the representatives of the French public and Russian compatriots in France.

 

The exhibition will tell the citizens of France about the battle of Stalingrad, its role and importance for the French Resistance movement, the French guerrilla groups bearing the name "Stalingrad", the natives of the Stalingrad region, fought for the freedom of France, the visits of General Charles de Gaulle and Francois Mitterrand in Stalingrad and Volgograd, awarding the highest award of France - the order of the Legion of Honor and other points of contact in the history of relations between the city on the Volga and France. The exhibition in Paris will last until February 25, after which it will go on a long journey through the cities of France.
